I am interested in VMWare, but would like to check first whether it can meet my needs. For legacy reasons I need to run Mac OS X (Tiger) and Mac OS 9. OS 9 is needed for an hp designjet printer for which there is no driver for OS 10 and Tiger is needed for some software which we do not want to upgrade.
- Is it possible to reliably run these OSs on VMWare on 10.8 Mountain Lion ?
- Is there specific docu how to do that?
- Is it possible to exchange files between all three OSs ?
- Is it possible for OS 9 to run drivers such as the one needed for the hp designjet ?
So far OS X and 9 have been running on a G4, but the box stopped working.
