I increased the disk sized on my guest running Windows Server 2012 from 30 to 40 GB. The machine ran fine after that through application installs, reboots, etc. Then, I ran into a snag with the application where I needed to increase the disk size again. This time, I increased it to 60 GB just to be safe. Now the machine does not boot.
